A 24 bay storage array is a serious piece of hardware for anyone dealing with massive amounts of data. It's basically a big metal box holding up to twenty-four hard drives or SSDs, often in a 4U rackmount form factor. You'd use it for a home server, a media library, or a backup solution. Setting it up takes some thought, since you need to decide on a RAID configuration and a controller, but the storage density is incredible once it's running.
