We replaced our patchy lawn with artificial turf last spring, and it was quite the undertaking. First, they stripped all the old sod and leveled the ground, then laid down a weed barrier and a layer of crushed rock for drainage. Rolling out the heavy rolls of turf was tough work, but seeing it all get trimmed and brushed into place made the effort worthwhile. Now we have a perfectly green space without any watering or mowing, and the kids play on it without getting muddy.
